How do I make an appointment? If you are DUI client and have been to the Florida Safety Council, the first step is to complete the "Treatment Referral and Documentation" form. This form gets returned to the Safety Council. It takes a few days for them to send us the "Referral Packet."
Once we receive your information, we can schedule an assessment.
How long does it take to get an assessment? Typically, we can schedule an assessment within 1-2 weeks of receiving the "Referral Packet" from the Safety Council.
How many Groups/Sessions will I have to do? A typical recommendation for a 1st DUI is for 8-10 sessions. For multiple DUI's the recommendation is typically 12-16 sessions. Of course, an actual assessment needs to be done. We look at how many DUI's a person has, what the BAL was, if there any other alcohol or drug related arrests or issues. We get information from the referral source (The Safety Council, Probation), gather information from other sources (arrest reports etc.), and talk to the client, then make the recommendation.
How many Groups/Sessions a week can I do? Clients are required to do at least 1 session per week. Clients are welcome to attend up to 2 sessions per week.
How do you accept payments? Clients are sent an invoice from QuickBooks with a link to make payments. Payments can be made with debit/credit card, Apple Pay, PayPal, or Venmo.
Do I have to pay for everything upfront? No, clients are welcome to pay as they go.
Do you accept insurance? No, we do not accept insurance. However, some clients have been able to get reimbursed by their insurance company, so that is question for the insurance company.
What is the Zoom link for the sessions? We use the same Zoom link for the Groups that we use for the assessment. Please look back through your text messages for the link. The Zoom information can also be found in the client's copy of the Treatment Plan.
How do I sign up for a group? Clients do not need to "sign up" for a group. Just make a payment, then log in to Zoom at the time of a session.
